Rental Agreement & Indemnity

Before completing your booking, please review the Rental Indemnity & Acknowledgement below. By clicking “I Agree” at the end of the booking process, you confirm that you understand and accept the following terms:

1. Role of Haeven

You understand that Haeven acts is a booking facilitator only. Haeven is not the owner, landlord, or property manager. Responsibility for the rental property and my use of it rests with myself as the Tenant and the Landlord.

2. Occupancy and Use

You acknowledge that:

  1. There is a maximum occupancy is six (6) persons for the rental property and that additional persons will incur US$100 per night, per person;
  2. There is to be no parties, large gatherings, smoking indoors, illegal drugs, firearms, or ammunition allowed in or on any part of the rental property;
  3. You are prohibited from subletting, assigning, or making unauthorized alterations to the rental property;
  4. You must follow all house rules and community/development regulations provided by the Landlord.

3. Tenant Responsibilities & Indemnity

You agree to:

  1. The responsibility for any damage, loss, or breakage caused to the rental property, furnishings, fixtures, or equipment beyond normal wear and tear;
  2. Cover costs of repair or replacement for any such damage;
  3. Indemnify and hold harmless both the Landlord and Haeven against any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) caused by myself, my guests, or invitees.
  4. Responsibility for insuring my personal belongings. Neither Haeven nor the Landlord will be liable for loss, theft, or damage to your personal property.

4. Security Deposit

You agree to pay a refundable security deposit of US$1,000 prior to occupancy. You understand that the deposit will be held by Haeven on behalf of the Landlord and refunded after inspection of the property, and the refund is subject to deductions for damage or breaches.

5. Landlord Obligations
  1. The Landlord will maintain the premises in good repair and ensure all utilities (cable, electricity, internet) are available during the rental period.
  2. The Landlord insures the building, furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
  3. The Landlord will allow the Tenant peaceful enjoyment of the premises during the rental period.
